walmart trip today…
everyone knows about walmarts changes in coupon policy, right? I have posted on blog…they will now
match BOGO sales IF items price is clearly stated in ad. They also give overage on coupons either in cash returned to you, or applied towards your transaction. I usually have it applied to my transaction, but was in a hurry to pick up the boys today, as I was called to come pick up when I was shopping..lol. anyway, went to 2 walmarts trying to match the walgreens BOGO clean and clear body wash..called corporate before I went, got the ok to match it, and use the bogo coupons..from PATTY. Rosario met me at 112th and highway 99 walmart. We went and explained all to folks at customer service to be sure, all was ok'd..I didn't want to hold up the line, and had a lot of coupons to use otherwise also. So we get our stuff, get in line, do the price match, and cashier hesitates on the bogo coupons. has to get approval..ok..calls the lady we already spoke to…she changes mind, says no on the coupons..sates we have to BUY one to use coupon..i said I am..just using the coupon to pay for it. she goes to little room…waits, we hold up line, lol…says no. so cancel those, get rest of my stuff. rosario had already tried at lynnwood 164th walmart..they said no, that is when she had called me, and I called corporate. So she calls them back, speaks to manager mike, tells him what patty says, and goes back there and it works fine. I got to many wags, most stores have 1 body wash, lol. so I go to lynnwood walmart..they have 1 left also. so no deal for me… BUT…I did really well otherwise, and here is what I spent/got between them both…
cost - $148 and change
paid…ZERO..THEY PAID ME $3.15..yep….i got paid to buy all my stuff…
heres what I got, and coupons used…
men's nivea body/hair/shave wash, and nivea mens regular body wash-$3-used the $3/1 04-17-11 RP=free
nivea womens body wash -$3, use $3/1 4/17 Rp = Free
sheet protectors-used overage
similac infant formula-$3.84, used $5/1 - 05-01-11 SS--gave over age
2 laundry baskets- used overage
2 -12 pack diet mt. dew-used overage
8 reach floss-$0.88 each, used $2.50/2 04-17-11 SS- got overage
8 wisk 12 load detergent -$.99, used hangtags from regular sized wisk detergent I found for $2 of ANY wisk detergent- got $1 overage per item
just my size womens tshirts- $6, found a couple on clearance for $5, used $5/1 from all you may issue magazine=free
and donated $1 to childrens cancer fund….there you go..my excellent shoping trip, even if had trouble price matching to walgreens body wash deal…
and I have to give kudos to my cashier and the floor manager at lynnwood...they both said great job, and the floor manager said she gives hats off to me to be able to plan and shop like that in these days of high expenses, to get cash back for shopping is commendable, lol...i was on cloud nine!!
